Hi folks,

Apologize if these were previously covered (couldn't find exact answers though).

Got my 2nd GPU yesterday, and so far all looks great and I'm happy with the performance that I'm getting. Few questions though...

1. While gaming on SLI, I noticed that one of the GPUs (GPU1) reports about 65 degrees, while the other one (GPU2) reports 56 degrees, even though both are at same usage level. Is this okay and expected? That GPU1 always shows about 5 to 7 degrees more than the GPU2. Is this due to 2 GPUs being side by side in SLI?

2. Secondly, while testing yesterday, I was messing up with the fan speed, and accidentally turned off the fan controls, and thus both GPUs ran a game at about 90 degrees for about 15 minutes. Then, I realized and turned the fan controls back on, and all came back to normal. Hopefully this did not impact GPUs to a level that I should be worried about, right?

Really appreciate your time, guys. Thank you.

Solution
1. Yes this is normal, the second card is just hindering the airflow to the first.

2. This is okay. Your GPUs will downclock if they got hot enough to damage them. They won't burn themselves out in a short period.
