So I have a dual channel RAM 2x4GB DDR3

And my motherboard have 4 slots with 2 black color and 2 blue color slots.

If I put my 2 RAM in the same color (blue-blue or black-black) it only reads as 4GB RAM in system (8gb installed 4gb usable)

I checked at bios setup system memory instaled size and usable size is 4096.
Also when booting there's a line that says 4096 ram bla bla bla

But when I put in the different color slot (blue-black or black-blue) it reads 8gb both in system (8gb instaled) also in boot setup and booting the line say 8GB
What should I do?

I have windows 10 and asus motherboard

Solution
Put one stick only in. See if the system boots.
If so try the other stick.
If one stick doesn't work then the system is bad. If both sticks work the slot is bad.

If both sticks are good, try one in the other slot that doesn't work.

Okay both RAMs works fine on only 2 slots and in the other 2 slots both RAMs not working (no boot)
So the working 2 slots is different color

Then what should I do? Can I put both in different color?
The color match is for dual channel right?

I can't RMA it because the warranty date is due. (pass warranty period)
I'll try removing my processors and check the pins maybe tommorow

The board I buy was second. and the shop only giving me 2 months warranty. but I was out of town so I didn.t notice it until today and just turned on my computer today. It's my fault really.

Just check it out. I've heard of really strange ways of using Ethernet cable fibers to fix faulty pins on CPU sockets, but don't quote me on it. It's your equipment, and if it's faulty, but two slots work, just use them
The difference between dual and single channel isn't that much.
