Problem: The ram I ordered is 800 MHz The Q6700 FSB is 1066 (I have almost all my bios settings to auto but it says on the website the Q6700 has a 1066 fsb) and I can put 2 sticks in turns on fine put 3 or 4 sticks in just turns on fans and does not make any noise like it would with 1 or 2 sticks I have updated BIOS

What I am asking: can I overclock the dram freq so I can use this ram with my system or underclock the CPU FSB its 4 2GB sticks its a PNY brand lookup 64B0QJTHE-HS for more details on the sticks

If I missed anything please let me know I am new to this stuff and rather not have to buy 1066 MHz ram

Specs:
Kentsfield Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66GHZ/8M Cache/1066/05A
Asus P5Q Turbo
750 TI
Evga 500W 80+ power supply

Solution
I believe that board had problems running with 4 sticks of 800mhz ram. Try adding the third stick and set them to 667 and see if it boots. If it does add the fourth and see what happens.
