This problem started over a month ago when the power surged on a windy day. I have uesd different speed test I get drastically different results. I'm paying for 100 down and 10 up. Some timages speed test sites show 3 times that amount and other time 1%. This seams to fluctuat buy the second. When looking at task manager ethernet performance the graph shows it going from 0 to 100 when playing on line games (it looks like an ekg when someone is having a Hart attack). In the last month I have gotten a new computer and replaced my cable modem. The ISP people have come out twice and I have scheduled a 3rd appointment. I have tried lots of things like Turing off programs that I don't use and disconnecting device not in use. I can't think of anything else to do and can I find a new new info on the Web. Any help or advice would me much appreciated.
The new computer was planed before the Internet problems. The old modem was a 2 in one with wifi. The new one is just a Cable modem. Not sure if one is better than the other.
