Hello!

One of my MSI RX480 fans only spinning when pushed by hand and then they start to normally operate for some time. When I turn it off again and on sometimes it doesen't work and needs the push.
I own a Chieftech GPS-600A8 PSU and an MSI RX480 8GB Gaming-X.
The GPU is brand new.

Solution
I recommend that you try the solution below. If it doesn't work then contact the vendor and exchange your graphics card for a new replacement.

"OK, I've fixed my problem. I just uninstalled all of my fan control software (MSI Afterburner, Sapphire TriXX, etc ), then re-installed the latest version of my graphics card driver (I have an RX 480). After I rebooted, the problem was solved. It's worth noting though that for the RX 480, the fans will only turn on when the temperature is over 60 degrees C when AMD setting is the controller."

Solution
+shiftylorenz I'm not sure. I've "heard" of a vendor using such a scheme, but I doubt it's common. But regardless, pleases remove the MSI Afterburner software (if installed) and then run DDU (Display Drivers Uninstaller). Allow this free utility to automatically reboot your computer into Windows safe mode to remove all remnants of the drivers. Then download fresh copy of display drivers from AMD website:

If none of this works, then contact vendor to exchange for a new unit. One other thing: Although unlikely, I wonder if your power supply is a factor in all this, since it's of poor quality; no offense. It is for this reason that I always opt for the highest quality PSUs, because I prefer to eliminate it as a likely point of failure.

Fresh installed drivers, used DDU 3 times before I made this post.
MSI Afterburner uninstalling right now, WattMan set to 72C max temp.
Posting reply when I am done testing it (the problem is that it starts up 60% of the times)

E: Uninstalled all [SpeedFan, MSI Afterburner, AMD OverDrive] only Crimson remains untouched. Will test it for 2 hours. If it starts up every time then I will select your post as an answer.
