I have been looking around for a while trying to fx this problem. I've upgraded the psu to a 700w from the original 300w. Enabled legacy mode and enabled the pcie slots in bios but it is still not showing a video connection when I plug my monitor into it.

Anyone have any ideas.

All connected up correctly. The psu is an LMS DATA X700 X-Series 700W ATX PSU

never heard of this brand before. try looking around and they look cheap. not sure if this 700w unit are really reliable unit.

so when you turned on the PC does the gpu power up properly? even if that 670 have 0db tech the fan on the gpu should spin briefly during first boot sequence.

Already updated the bios to the latest version. The pc itself didn't come with a gpu but I have tried others in it and it they work fine. which to me suggests a faulty card because the only conflict I can see is the Pcie gen 2 slot on the mobo and the card itself being a gen 3 card. But it should be backwards compatible at a loss of some power from the card.

so only that 670 are not working? PCI-E 3.0 in general have no issue with PCI-E 2.0. at least i haven't heard issues about it like how cards with PCI-E 2.1 spec having issues with PCI-E 1.1 slot (fixable via BIOS updates). can you try that 670 no other PC?

That's my next step. I'm having trouble finding someone with a pc that has a psu powerful enough. 250w has been the biggest so far. And that won't work as the 670 needs that to even function leaving nothing left for the mobo. Still looking and I could always take it back to the shop and get them to test it for me to find out if it is faulty and get an exchange.
