I get this error, "DATA ERROR (CYCLIC REDUNDANCY CHECK)" The hard drive checks out but I cant read it or delete the partitions. I want to use it in a nas box. Any ideas?

run chkdsk on it and it will most likely clear up! There are a number of small issues that can cause this error, and many of those are easily fixed by chkdsk.

Once it is cleared up it should be perfectly fine for NAS use.
