Moved out of my house recently. Only took some essentials to our temporary vacation home, like our computers. being the wise man I am, I packed all my chords, yet not the pc, with the intention of using the pc.

I didn't pack my Xbox 360 chords however and noticed the Xbox psu cable is compatible with my psu. But can it handle my psu power draw? The cable is rated to 10a 125v 1250 w.

My psu is an evga 500w 80 plus white, bottom of the trustworthy barrel. My setup as a whole draws 400 under load. Can I use this 360 cable or do I have to go blow 30 bucks? The amperage rating is what I find worrysome.

It would be...

It would be totally fine regardless. Feel the wire after a bit of use - if it is room temperature you're golden. If it is warm you're still fine. If it is melted then you know it isn't up to it...
