I have a GTX 970 and get very good performance from pretty much everything I play. I only have a 60hz monitor though so I have to enable vsync so I won't have screen tearing. The problem is when vsync is enabled on a game where I can get over 100 fps and sometimes even 200 fps I can have drops to the mid 50's. Why can't it maintain a constant 60 when it never even dips to 60 with vysnc off? Is there a solution? The main reason I'm asking is for Arkham City. It never dips below 90 with vsync off but can dip to low 50's with it on.
