Which motherboard do i get? i3-7100

okay so the i3-7100 supports lga 1151 so i get that right but some forums say you need a b150, b250, or another i forgot. So do i need the b150 and stuff or can i just get a regular lga 1151. if i do get a regular lga 1151 what does that change

Get a B250 , that way it will have a compatible BIOS.

so getting a normal lga 1151 is a no go? like if i get a normal lga 1151 the bios wouldnt work or do i have to update it

It would need to have the update already loaded , you need a B250 to assure your setup will boot with the 7100.

okay thanks for the information! what is the difference between the 6100 and 7100 really? i might just get the 6100 so i dont have to spend extra on the b250 for like 1% performance

Very little difference , my youngest just built his first setup with the 6100.
