My dad gave me a samsung 250gb external usb ssd that he wasnt using My question is i have a dell xps 8900 with a 2 tb 7200 hd is it possible that i could use this external hd as my boot drive? if so could anyone please explain how i go about doin so? this dell didnt come with ant cd's or anything so not sure if it would work how i would do it..thanks for any help..

And the other part of your question, all you need to do is download
Windows 10 Media Creation Tool, and have a USB stick.
You'll need to get Windows activated, but that is another matter. The operating itself is free to download and install - you'll just need to purchase or recover a key to get it activated. If your computer already has windows 10 - then windows will activate automagically.
