Ram is actually quite common that it does have problems, moreso than the motherboard.
If you could get other ram to place onto the motherboard you can test it. If you have a friend who has a computer, you can ask to borrow at least a stick of working ram from his to try it out. If that ram doesn't work, as long as it's the same kind as your ram, such as DDR3 or DDR4, then the motherboard is bad. Either way, looks like you're going to possibly have to replace something.
