Hello, I have been looking through forums here trying to find something relevant, but I haven't come up with an answer. I have a dell precision t3500 workstatioon with a LGA 1366 Xeon quad core. and 10gb RAM. I purchaced 1333 mhz ram hoping to improve the performance some, but didn't realize the CPU only supports 1066 mhz RAM. So, It should be downclocking the memory to 1066, right? In the dell BIOS it lists 10gb ddr3 1066, but If i use CPU ID or Speccy, they both show my ram being clocked at 533mhz. Does anyone have any idea why this is and how I can fix it?
Oh and the Ram is 2x4gb G-Skill ddr3 and 1x 2gb of older 1066mhz ddr3 that was in the PC originally.
Thanks!
