Hello i wanted to upgrade my PC as i only have a AMD Athlon X4 860K and a GTX 960 i was thinking of getting a Intel core i3 6100 and a ASUS H110M-A D3 motherboard and later on down the line getting a GTX 1060 6GB

I was curious to see just how much better the i3 is than my athlon 860k will it be quite a big boost?

Also will the i3 be strong enough for the GTX 1060?

Thanks for all the responses guys it wont be until a few month before i upgrade but wanted to try get a head start at looking into a new CPU :)

It's a scare tactic until you start to have issues because drivers are not provided, or issues are not resolved because manufacturers aren't required to address them anymore. Kaby Lake is very similar to Skylake so I wouldn't expect many, if any issues, but going forward it will be another story.
