I don't know if this is a driver issue or a card issue.

I have dual 6990s, currently running without crossfire. I have two monitors, one hooked up with each card. For around a month now, I've been running into issues with random blue screens and black screens while gaming. I don't really know what is causing the issue since I have already removed and re-downloaded the drivers (twice). Any ideas?

When playing a game or something, when the screen goes black, do you still hear audio from the game?

Most of the time, yes. The screen some times just freezes on a frame and still plays audio.

Try running audio out of the graphics card using HDMI. If you get from the card, it's probably software but if not, then probably hardware.
