Hi.
I'm looking to start a gaming channel but I don't want to go all out until I know the channel will be sustainable. I need something that can record video and audio separately without lagging the game out like my current system. My most played games at the moment are Minecraft, L4D2, Gmod and Sims 4 and I plan on playing Death Stranding whenever we get it. [haven't bought much else yet but I'll get there.]

I'm looking to spend 600 or less but can go a little over if absolutely necessary. Something that can be improved upon later if I need more space or to run more intense games. A case that is functional and still aesthetically pleasing is also preferable.

Solution
yeah, a Ryzen 4C/8T or 6C/12T will be better for recording. they'll be out at the end of March.

if you cant wait, this will work:

I can wait for the Ryzen if that's going to brew my best option. I was looking at cases as well and this one [http://www.phanteks.com/Eclipse-p400s.html]was a the top rated fire a first build. Is this build compatible with this case? Or will I need to change a few components?

for the most part, cases are cases. in a $600 build, though, you probly don't want to pick a case over around $40. That Eclipse is about $70. Its a nice case, though so if you are willing to exceed the budget by $35, compared to the case I suggested, it'll be fine.

Okay. Last question. What about CPU coolers? I see it listed as an option but you didn't select anything for it. Do I need one or is that something I can go without and add later?

since Magenta is not a standard AMD color (Red it typical for them), most people speculate the colors are variable.

It is RGB, I think from what Linus said.

So I ended up using most of the parts you listed. Pre ordered the Ryzen preorder bundle on amazon which included the Ryzen 7 1700, Wraith Spire LED Cooling and ASUS Prime X370-Pro Motherboard. I ended up going more over my budget than I intended but the bundle seemed like a better deal in the long run. It's also reassuring to have the bundle since partpicker wasn't showing any motherboards with the compatibility filter on. Probably just because it's new tech and the site hasn't updated yet but as a clueless rookie it's better than going through a hassle with customer service to return a part. I always have the worst luck with that kind of thing.
