Grey screen of death (pale grey with darker grey, vertical lines) when playing games.
Hi all, I'm running a HD 7900 Series Radeon card on Windows 7 and in the last few months I've been getting this error.
It runs fine when I'm just in Windows, but if I play a game (something like Ark: Survival Evolved, or World of Warcraft) I occasionally receive this total lockup error which requires a reset reboot.
I don't think I'm overheating and I've tried a GPU and CPU stress test and it works fine.
This can't be predicted. It can go for two weeks and be fine, then suddenly it'll happen two or three times in a session.
I don't know where to start troubleshooting this.
I did blast all the dust out of various fans with compressed air, and I unplugged and reseated my cards and my memory, as well as my power cords.
It's still happening.
