I have a MSI Z97 krait edition mb, Intel 4790k CPU, msi gtx 970 graphics card, g skill ddr3 2133 - 16gb. When I turn on my machine, nothing will happen, just a black screen and "A2" displayed in the lower right corner (displays 9C then switches to A2 when booting normally). I can press delete to enter the bios, exit out, let it restart, then everything boots normally like it should. I've checked the boot priorities, resetting the bios settings, unplugged the power supply/cmos battery, etc. but nothing has worked so far. When i get it to boot normally, I can't tell there's anything wrong. It's just a huge pain in my a** Having to go through the bios every time I start my computer. I did upgrade my corsair h55 cooler to a h100i right before I started having the problem, not sure if that's relevant to my issue or not.
Thank you in advance!!!

Solution
Figured it out. Something with the cooler's USB cable. Unplugged it and it boots normally every time now.
Thank you for the replies!! I never would have thought about the cables unless it was brought up.

Does your H100i use a sata connector for power? If so there should be a 3 pin connector that your system uses to connect to the CPU_FAN header, but only has one wire into it.

If this is the case, you need to disable the CPU_FAN readout (By putting it on ignore in the bios), and it should prevent post errors.

If not, there's something else.

The h100i uses a 3 pin fan connector (same as my h55) to power the pump and a separate USB connector for the corsair link software. No sata connectors.
I can't remember the exact order I have the boot priority, I'll have to check this evening when I get home. I do know it's set with my primary drive being first, followed by the DVD rom, then whatever else from there.
Also, no, this is not a new build. It's been around for a year and a half or so.
