Hi,
I have a desktop with MB Asus P5LD2 SE:
- FSB 1066/800/533 MHz
- Memory: 4 x DIMM, max. 4GB, DDR2 667/533/400, Non-ECC, un-buffered memory,
Dual Channel Architecture.
2 of 4 slots of ram are already occupied (2 GB).
I imagine that employ 4 modules of the same type is preferable.

I don't know if "HYNIX RAM 4Gb (4x1GB) PC2-5300U DDR2-667Mhz 240pin Memory x DESKTOP No Etc." are compatible with a Pentium Duo Core (sometimes it distinguishes between Intel and AMD cpu).

Can I use modules to 800 MHz (SAMSUNG RAM 4Gb (4x1Gb) PC2-6400U DDR2-800Mhz 240pin Memoria x DESKTOP No Ecc) ?

Thanks in advance

Solution
when it comes to DDR2, stay away from "ECC, AMD, low density " types on Asus board they will not work at all.
as per manual You may install 256 MB, 512 MB and 1 GB unbuffered non-ECC DDR2 in each slot.
so you can go up to 4gb total
This motherboard does not support memory modules made up of 128 Mb chips or double sided x16 memory modules

configuration of the memory in the 4 slots are as follow;

Supports one module inserted into either slot, in Single-channel memory configuration one in yellow one in black
Supports one pair of modules inserted into either the yellow slots or the black slots as one pair of Dual-channel memory configuration
Supports two pairs of modules inserted into the yellow and black slots as two pairs of...

to answer your question, can you put them in yes, will they run at peak performance no as the first set of ram are 667 so the system will down grade you 800mhz ram to 667 for compatibility sake, will this be stable, that only you will be able to find out. but if you start getting pauses, lock up etc, probably a clear indication this not being compatible together.

I just had di exercise with a Asus P5QL-VM board myself a few days ago, and ended getting from Microcenter.com (and picked up at store) some DDR2-800MHZ 1gb x4 sticks and had a lovely humming system in minutes.

try it worst it can do it not boot or lock up on you.
