Hi, I plan on buying the ASUS RT-AC88U and I've heard it supports link aggregation which from what I understood is somehow supposed to increase speed over LAN. I mostly game, torrent and stream. Could I benefit from it and if so, how can it be done? I'll be using a 1 gbit fiber optics connection that first connects to the modem and then to the wireless router. Any other advice on how to proceed? Thanks a lot!

Will not help in your stated uses.
It 'might' speed things up in talking to a different system over the same internal LAN, and then only when hardwired to the router. And then only if your motherboard is capable of it.

But your speed to the outside world will not change. It doesn't magically get you 2x from the ISP.

Basically, it is a 'feature' that you will never need or use.
