Hi everyone,

I was trying to figure out why my new build won't post, and I've figured out that it's CURRENTLY incompatible with my G4560 CPU and the bios needs to be updated so that it will work with it.

As the CPU isn't currently compatible I'm a bit stuck as to how I can update/flash the bios to address the issue.

Is there any way I can do it or am I going to need another CPU so that I can update the bios?

Solution
You correct in that that is your problem

You cant perform a bios update without a "working" cpu, since your current CPU is not supported by the current bios (hence not "working") then you cant do a BIOS update with that CPU.

You will either need to return motherbaord for b250 board, buy a skylake cpu, or take it to shop to have them fix it.

I have seen like 20 different threads about this in the last 2 days so you are not the only one.
Would be very nice if motherboard vendors and chip vendors could have ducks more in a row so that motheboard makers can start shipping boards with the new bios a few months before the CPUs actually hit market.

You actually can but you'd need an external bios chip flasher and a new unflashed bios chip. Together it would come to around $10 if ordered from China. It's worked for me before.
