use of a clocked cpu on a overclock mobo

Solution
Yes. As long as the chipset matches the pins on the board. You can't run a clocked I5 LGA-1150, on an LGA-1151 mobo for example. You can't run an AMD on an Intel board, or vice-versa. So as long as the board and cpu pass the compatibility check, overclocked or not is irrelevant for compatibility.
