Hi, I recently bought the MSI 1060 6GB Gaming card. It has an 8pin cable input. My current PSU, Thermaltake Toughpower 750w has 2 PCI-E connectors but both of them are 6pin. My previous video card, MSI 560Ti needed 2 6pin cables, but this one needs 1 8pin cable. Can I use a 6pin to 8pin cable going from the PSU to the video card and will this give it the power it needs? Or do I need a 2x 6pin to 1x 8pin cable so it uses both 6pin power slots. Thanks.

Solution
There may be varying versions but if it doesn't say PCIe on it I wouldn't use it.

Quick question, are you sure this is right? I'd messaged MSI and thermaltake at the same time when I did post just to see what responses I'd get. MSI have replied so far and said 2 6pin to 1 8pin cable would work fine. Is there anything else I shuold be paying attention to before I make any decisions. Thanks.
