CPU core temp rising too much

I have i5-3570 with stock fan but my temp is about 80c at idle sometimes 50c...gaining to 105c when playing games.Need help pls!!

Check your background programs to see what else could be running in the background. You could also try and see what the voltage looks like in HWMonitor just in case your motherboard is going bad. And you could also put some new/better thermal paste on there.

Doubt the game install has anything to do with this, unless the games you were playing prior did not place such a demand on the CPU, might be worth checking the thermal compound and maybe a different cooler as was suggested. Stock coolers are great for normal everyday computer usage, but not 100% CPU usage for extended periods .

I also forgot to mention that my cpu utilization varies from 10 - 34% continuously at idle ....Dont know why this is happening .I replaced my stock cooler recently but the problem still exists
