hi,i am 3d fx artist i have i5-3570 processor with gigabyte B75 dv3 1155 mobo with 4 gb ram ,550W smpss, now i want to upgrade my pc for dynamics simulation in small size with maya or Houdini application for practice or demo, due to low budget i cant upgrade with high component,so i am thinking with same rig ,upgade gpu gtx-1050 4gb or 1060 3 gb with 16 gb ram,it can be workable for small scale simulation like fire ,water or particles.I Know dynamics simulation need big workstation but i have no choice.

No choice would just mean you're willing to spend money on something that will not help rather hinder your progress. In retrospect if you saved up and spent for a proper workstation system/gear then you'd be rewarded more than two fold.

Can you please list your specs as follows:

From the looks of things, I'm going to say no since the current generation of GPU's will not work on a system that doesn't have a compatible UEFI BIOS. We've been dealing with a lot of threads whereby older system prior to Haswell aren't working well with GTX1000 series GPU's simply due to the lack of UEFI support.

Outside of the BIOS, I'm also suspecting that the PSU would be your second limitation. The...
