Recently built a new computer. After a day of use, the power supply began to fail. Within a few minutes of use the psu would cut off and the computer had to be restarted. I exchanged the power supply for another one and everything seemed to be working. However, later that day the power cord that came with the new psu broke and had to be replaced. Both power supplies had more watts than needed to power the build. Is this just very bad luck? Or is something faulty in the system causing the psu and their respective cords to malfunction?
