Why is my Audio so quiet on Gmod?

No I mean me speaking is really quiet not the actual game audio I can hear things like vehicles and people but no one can hear me

Never mind I figured it out myself, my headset is a 4 pole jack or something like that (it has 3 lines on the jack plug) and to utilise my headset through my PC properly I need a 3 pole jack so I would need an adapter/new mic
