Minimum GPU for 1080 144hz

What is the minimum GPU to fully utilise a 144hz screen. In my case the games don't have to be ultra, I'm more than happy playing at med-high.

Game I play include LoL, CS:GO, BF1, H1Z1, Star Citizen Beta, Rust. etc. I currently play on a gtx770 and get anywhere from 60-100fps depending on the game at med-high occasionally ultra.

It would be a shame going anything less than a gtx 1070 for your existing build. However your OP states you don't care about running graphical settings on ultra.
That being said, your best bet is to go with a gtx 1060 6gb.
