As of right now my specs are:
960GM-VGS3 FX w/ V1.40 Bios
AMD FX 8300 w/ Water-cooling System (not sure of the brand atm)
8GB DDR3 RAM
Gigabyte 960 4gb Windforce
500W EVGA something other.
Im just now getting around to upgrading my PC. I ran across a gigabyte 960 4gb I figured I could use the upgrade then just pair it with the Ryzen 1700X when i get the cash for it. Now I install the 960 remove all the driver from my previous R9 270X and Im noticing heavy lag spike periodically in CS:GO (all the way to 25-35 fps!) and audio issues after playing for a while in Paladins.
The only thing I can think is that my 500W EVGA PSU is no supplying enough power to it if that would do anything that is.
Any ideas?

yeah both of the 6 pin connectors are secure in the card. and the temps of my card when I alt tab out to the Nvidia control panel it says 30C, I set the fans to run at a low speed at all times to keep it nice and cool.
Im starting to think one of the connectors are out but if it was would I even be able to boot up the card with only one?

Yeah you are correct about that but for 80 bucks I couldn't pass it up. I plan on selling both cards on ebay to get an even better card :)
Also, no sir I didn't. Ill get right to that.

Well I went into safemode and use DDU to uninstall both the drivers and reinstalled the most current drivers for the 960. I boot up CS:GO with default settings and I still get the 15-25fps drops. The temp was 36C when it started doing it.

That's odd, almost sounds like your Intel graphics are in use instead of the GTX 960. Try monitoring your performance while trying other games, using MSI Afterburner's overlay. Or try the 3DMak FireStrike test first of all, using GPU utilisation, temperatures etc. enabled with MSI Afterburner.
