Hi, I got told that my PC wasn't working because I don't have the right CPU. My PC does when I turn it on is it, flashes for about 1sec. Then nothing. All the led's inside the case light up but then nothing after. I unplug the power cord then plug it back in, and get the same result. But I got told it was because my CPU isn't compatible with the board.

I was wondering if https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117728 CPU would work with this motherboard: Z170A GAMING M5

My Current PC Parts:
NZXT Phantom 240 Mid Tower Case White
D-Link DWA-548 Wireless N300 PCIe Desktops Adapter
MSI ZI70A Gaming M5 Motherboard
ASUS DRW-24D5MT 24x DVD Writer
Silverstone Strider Essential 600w ST60F-ESB
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti OC 4G
Coolermaster Hyper 103 RR-H103-22PB-R1 CPU Cooler
Seagate 3.5" BarraCuda 1TB ST1000DM010 SATA3 7200RPM 64MB HDD
Intel BX80677157400 Core i5-7400 3.0Ghz 6MB LGA1151 Kaby Lake Boxed CPU
Win 10 Home USB 32/64BIT Box
8GB DDR4-2133 UDIMM 1.2V CL15

Anything helps, Thanks.

Yeah alexoiu is right a BIOS update should fix your issue. Also make sure you have all of your power cords connected correctly and you used standoffs between the motherboard and the case in all the screw holes for the MB this would cause a short if your forgot them. Seems a lot of people dont realize you need standoffs LOL
