-Reseated and applied thermal paste like 8 times

Provide any additional details you wish below.

While using the internet/watching YouTube my CPU temp stays at about 40-48°C

While gaming it shoots up to the high 80's-90's°C Why is this? I've made sure to re secure the mount at least 7 times now and each time i fully cleaned off and reapplied thermal paste

All my other components are running at 25°C or below

What direction are your fans pointing? Make sure the air from all your fans is pushing the air outside towards the rear of the case. It is a bit odd that your temps are so high even while idle. Also make sure you are testing temps while the side panels are on. Idle temps should be in the 30's.

I noticed the fan direction too... Almost every other photo I see of that cooler online has the fan attached on the RAM side of the cooler, blowing air through the heatsink toward the back of the case. Yours seems like it has the fan on the opposite side of the cooler, attempting to pull air through, but it doesn't actually fit snug against the heatsink, so a lot of air is probably getting pulled from the sides, rather than through the fins. You might try reorienting that, and see if that helps.
