Currently, I have an old crappy monitor that just doesnt cut it. its not big enough, its not pretty enough.. Eyes are starting to go crap, so figured this would compensate a little bit..

Current System Specs:

Mobo - Asus Sabertooth Z77

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

Name AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series

Ram - 16GB Gskill

I just want to make sure that everything is up to snuff before I spend $400..

Thanks, Everyone.

I see that both my graphics card and my motherboard has a DisplayPort(?).. its like a HDMI but a little bigger, yeah?

As I understand it, that is the cable needed to run 144hz, however I am not certain that my computer is compatible, even though it presumably has the right connection.

I have heard rumors that your mobo or graphics card can bottleneck it at 60hz?

Im not super savvy when it comes to this stuff, so I need someone smarter than I to enlighten me before I spend money.

Thanks again.
