I recently finished my build and am having trouble installing Windows 10. The problem is that when the installer prompts me to choose a location for Windows, no drives are listed. I am using an Intel 600p 512 GB on an Asus Maximus IX Hero.
I have the SSD in the M.2_2 port, this is after trying the M.2_1 port. I tried looking online for the drivers, Intel doesn't provide any drivers for the 600p or tell which ones to use. I attempted using the repair computer method where the command prompt is used to create a partition of the drive. The only drive that shows up for "list disk" is the USB I am using to download Windows.
I don't know if it matters, but my SSD is not listed as a bootable drive in my BIOS when used in either port.
What do I do? I'm totally lost and have tried looking online, but nothing seems to work or address my issue.

Thank you for your response. Hyper kit1 Mode was disabled while I was working and I also tried the PCIE mode before I posted. Should I maybe try disabling the SATA ports?

Switch to Legacy OPROM only. Try with CSM enabled and disabled. Try again using UEFI only. Set all the different boot devices to legacy or UEFI as the case may be.

Have you updated your BIOS to the latest release?

Check to see if your SSD is listed in Tool > Secure Erase. Reading another thread about an earlier Maximus model. They did a secure erase of the M.2 drive before it worked. You can try the procedure in the following post. Regarding a Samsung SM951 and ASUS Maximus VIII. I don't know if that is the AHCI or NVMe variant of the SM951.

I tried those settings and it didn't work, I also updated my BIOS. Still no success. Is the M.2_1 the better port to use? Could it be a problem with the SSD and the solution is to just get it replaced?
