Will a low profile GTX 1050 fit in the dell optiplex 755 minitower?

also, will the Intel Core 2 Extreme intel core 2 extreme qx6800 work in the motherboard of that computer with the bios updated to A22? (that is the bios limit for the dell optiplex 755)

No that card has a couple problems for the Micro BTX mini tower. With 2 fans it's probably too long. a short single fan full height card would be better. It's 2 slots wide, and has a connector on the 2nd slot (normal for low profile cards). A full height single fan card with no connectors on the 2nd slot is where you need to start. I t will need Legacy BIOS support, not UEFI. Remove the bracket and get it running. If you have no RMA issues then you need to cut the bracket in 1/2 to make a single slot card. Trim the cover if needed so air can turn left to go out the rear vents. An expansion slot blower is needed to pull heat out from behind the GPU.
The 755 has support for 333fsb. Dell put a 95W CPU limit on those machines which keeps...

The 755 has support for 333fsb. Dell put a 95W CPU limit on those machines which keeps all the Core2 Extremes from running except X6800. Q9650 will work. Q6700 should go 3.33Ghz if you BSEL pinmod it from 266FSBX10 to 333FSBX10 and VID pinmod it.
