I have an AM3+/FX AMD AIO included Watercooled DeepCool Case.
And I am changing to a new Ryzen CPU and MotherBoard.
My case is not compatible with the new AM4 socket types as you all know And I am sure a lot of you are going to want to use your existing AM3+ Coolers on AM4.
So post up all your Solutions,Fabrication or Modifications.
Also If your company sent or offered for sale new parts for existing AM3+ cooler to change it to AM4
So post away,I am sure this will help lots of people and offer many different solutions to this problem

Mounting MB in the case shouldn't be a problem, only thing different will be spacing of CPU cooler mounting and it's holes. Personally I'm waiting for Cooler Master to release different mounts for my CM Nepton 140XL AiO cooler, This one has very simple mounting bracket which should also be easy to make/adapt if need be. I'm also counting on lover TDP of Ryzen processors so anything that can keep my FX at 4.8 GHz cool, should have no problem with any Ryzen.

Of course the motherboard will fit,I think I am going to have to engineer a back plate from aluminium sheet and use the longer leftover Intel mounts redrill and fit ,Because Deepcool haven't said a word about selling aftermarket AM4 brackets ,I just hope some other people do it first so I can get some ideas and methods and avoid mistakes if others have them

I hope to get a Ryzen in tray packaging (no cooler) and save few bucks that way. I have tons of CPU coolers that just need adapting. Problem is that only after getting MB I can be really sure what and by how much has to be changed. It might even happen that holes match some older or Intel spacing.

Does anyone know if an am4 adaptor from one company will work with another companies cooler, as surely they are just adapting am4 back to some old mounting such as intel mounts or am3? I don't want to have to wait over a month for us delivery for the swiftech adapter :( .

I dont think even the back plate because I looked at the AM4 ones and they are wider and shorter so the height holes can be redrilled but the width cant they are out side the edge of an AM3 plate

You'd probably have to dig thru hundreds of mounts just to find something compatible. Worst problem would be backplate (if used) because new standard for hole spacing would render them all useless !

I mean using an AM4 bracket from a different company to fit your companies cooler trying to find an AM3 bracket would damn near impossible I have seen what the AM4 shape is ,its way different much shorter ,not a problem but wider BIG BIG problem.

@ FullmetalJacket
Something is screwy with this site, I can see your answer in the e-mail message but not here !!
Anyway, yes some manufacturers are considering selling or giving away new mounts for their coolers. Cooler master already lists some but are still not available. I have recently acquired CM Nepton 140XL and would love to use it on AM4.

I will need luck ,At least if they sell me one,but not many people know about genome case so I am hoping a bit free advertising might sway them ,I know at least one person that did it somewhere else can't remember the manufacturer
