Your operating system already extends your RAM on your hard drive, it is call the swap file or page file. Using the page file is VERY slow. An SSD drive would be the fastest option. But, you really need to get a new computer.

You claimed that your computer is slow and you want to add more ram. Adding more ram through either method will only slow you down more.

Here are the top 4 reasons your computer is ACTUALLY running slowly.

You have a lot of junk on your computer.
Your HDD is slower than it used to be.
Your CPU is old and out of date.
Full of dust and overheating.

If you want it to be faster, just buy a new system. Adding a HDD or flashdrive will only slow you down even more if you utilize it as ram.
