Hi, I'm using a h55h-m motherboard from ECS with intel core i3-540 and ddr3 6gb (2gb+4gb) 1333mhz transcend memory (9-9-9-24). I've recently bought ddr3 1600mhz 8gb (2x4gb) memory (11-11-11-28), also from transcend. But due to absence of XMP in the bios, those are running at 1333mhz. BTW, that motherboard allows to change frequency and timing manually. But I don't know how to do it properly.

So guys..plz help me..

The rated speeds of any memory is guaranteed to be obtainable only in the form the kit or module is sold in. When adding extra memory you will probably need to relax the timings and/or frequencies in order to get multiple sets of memory to work. Another option you may need to do is increase the dram voltages. Such combinations are not guaranteed to work at all or how they will work.

These parameters are listed for the memory specifications.
DRAM Frequency
DRAM Timing
DRAM Voltage

The motherboard manual does not show what options are available to change the memory parameters. Usually a [manual] setting from [auto] allows the setting to be entered manually. Settings for a jumble of different memory modules would be guesswork.

Automated settings like XMP are used to simplify setting the memory parameters if the motherboard and memory support XMP. The XMP settings are also guaranteed to be obtainable only in the form the kit or module is sold in and not when a jumble of extra memory is added. Using identical memory also carries no guarantee if not in the form of the way it was sold in.

Thank you for your response. I've checked the bios and it allows user to set DRAM frequency, timing and volt manually. I just don't know the exact numbers that i should put in these fields.

I mean, should i set the frequency to 1600 and set timing at 11-11-11-28 and increase voltage (don't know how much)..??
or I can do either one or two of those things..??
