could be motherboard/gpu/psu problem doesnt happen when using onboard graphics, my 2 yr warranty is out but can send to manufacturer which can diagnose which part for 40£.

is this worth it or should i just replace each part in the order of most likely

I'd suggest purchasing a power supply at your local computer hardware store (IE Staples, Best Buy). This way you have proof that the power supply is defective. Then you can use the psu you just purchased while returning the defective. Staples/best buy has a 15 day (rough estimate) return policy, so you'll get your money back for the psu.

well i started off with a gtx 660 which got replaced with a gtx 760 a year later. now 3 years in it was working fine but about in the recent year I had cpu related bsods maybe once a week. now since the last month ive been getting hard freezes pretty much once a day, its like the cpu doesnt get enough power then hangs is my guess.

ive tested without gpu and no freezes for about a week then I became bored and put it back in so I could play games.

The problem is very intermittent so its hard to diagnose, it only happens like once every 20 hours of uptime. I dont want to buy a graphics card and find out it was the psu and vice versa.

specs: i5 3570k, gtx760, 8gb ddr3 ram, windows10, p8z77-lx motherboard, nothing is overclocked and ive reset cmos and hard reinstall w10.

I'm not asking you to only monitor gpu load. See how it says percap reason "Therm"? That's your graphics card thermally throttling. What case do you have and how is the ventilation? Also what power supply do you have?

I guess the ventilation is not great, its a stock gtx 760 with one fan. I dont have any side fans or front fans in my case. Usually I use msi afterburner and prioritise keeping the card under 80 degrees by sacrificing power.

thats the closest to my case although I dont have the two side fans, only one fan at the back

maybe that first test was not a proper test, I just loaded up a game.

This is an actual test reading from furmark, please could you diagnose this one?

I freeze when idle though, thats what ive been trying to tell you. when my gpu is at 45 degrees I still get the freezes.

do you think its psu issue?

So that leads back to my original post, as I dont have another power supply/ computer to test components, is it best for me to just send it back to my manufacture so they can diagnose the faulty component for a fee?
