I have a hp probook 6460b (laptop) and it has Toshiba 320gb hard drive. When i boot up my laptop it doesn't detect the hard drive. For double check I just plug the hard drive into my computer and it booted up without any problem.I want know that my laptop's motherboard is not fine or its hdd connecter is not working.

Hey there.

Well it will be difficult to determine that. If you have separate cables and not a direct port where you connect the drive, you could try those cables with a different computer to see if the same thing happens.
Other than that I'd recommend that you get in touch with the laptop manufacturer's customer support, especially if the laptop is still under warranty.

Hope that helps. Please keep me updated.
