Hi all,

I overclocked my i5-4690k to 4,6ghz at 1.256v. When I use intelburntest 10 times at very high, the max temperature I receive is 84 degrees. I am cooling with a noctua NH-D14. Is this acceptable? When I play Battlefield 1 with 64 players my CPU load is 90-100% and never gets above 60 degrees.

Thanks!

Yup, as long as you did it on very high settings it's fine. Intel Burn Test pushes your CPU hard.
Anyways, tasks like gaming or rendering are likely not going to heat your processor that much. Although I'd suggest you to keep an eye on temps just in case.

I downclocked it to 4,5ghz, just because I don't think 4,6 is necessary. If I'm running at 1.256v, do I need to turn that down a notch aswell or doesn't it really matter?

1.256 seems fine, just a 100 mhz downclock doesn't affect anything much.
