Budget motherboard supporting Xeon E5 2667, 2.9GHZ

So guys friend of mine is working in a scrapyard, in the box, never openedand he found this....CPU. we want to see if it works hence Im looking for some motherboard that will allow us to plug it in to see if we can earn some money. The cheaper the better. Thanks for any propositions.

I might see if you can purchase a working Z820 or similar used workstation that has a lower end CPU installed. You know it is a functional system and you can use the upgraded CPU instead of the low end.

you see I was even thinking of buying it off him instead of ebaying it, but I have AMD socket. My PC is veyr average Ive got FX-8320, I googled the list of supported mobos but there are tons of them and they are very expensive. Thats why I am asking if there is some cheap alternatives for a budet.

But just a motherboard won't tell you anything. You need RAM (probably ECC RAM), a power supply that is compatible with a workstation/server motherboard etc. I don't see a cheap and reliable method.

I mean We have entire unit, with 16gb ddr4 ram, and 750W bronze+ cooler. You reckon its not enough? I knew its high end stuff didnt know how high end haha

In that case is there any other method of checking whether processor works?
