So my PC had 2x4 GB of RAM (Both sticks were exactly the same, 1.65V, 1600mhz, kingston, same CL), and i had problems when gaming for about 15 minutes the game would just freeze and only thing that would help was restart and the same thing would happen again soon. I removed one of the 4GB sticks and it solved the problem. Then i added 2x2 GB sticks(1333 mhz, 1.5V, Kingston. different CL) while having 1x4 GB already in PC and it would still give me the same freezing/crashing problem. 4 GB is definetly not enough, and would like to have at least 8 GB in my computer. And when i changed the slots i get to play a bit longer and then it still closes the game and gives me random errors. So any solutions?

Solution
One of the sticks / or slots may be bad.... maybe thaye'd work with a tad more voltage.

1. First make sure they are in the correct slots as per the illustration on the manual. Most usual is 1st and 3rd from CPU and 2nd and 4th from CPU.

2. Test the 1st stick or RAM with MemTest 86+ in the primary slot, then in secondary slot

3. Repeat above with 2nd stick ... that will tell you what stick (or slot) is bad.
The solution is ... "Never install RAM that didn't come in the same package". When you buy RAM with X sticks in the same package, they are guaranteed to work together. When you buy two 1x 4GB packages, from the same store, of the exact same model, on the same day, on the sane order .... they are not guaranteed to work together.

When you are in a situation of combining RAM from different packages you increase your chances of compatibility, when same make, model, specs, speed, timings, model, voltage and OEM. One instance I use as an illustration is the Corsair Vengeance pro DDR3-2400 sets which up to version 4.5 had modules supplied by Hynix ... with 4.52, they switched to another module supplier. Both were 2400 seed w/ CAS 10 timings ... however the old Corsairs were 10-12-12-28... the newer 10-12-12-30 ...and even lowerng the newer set to 10-12-12-30, I could not get the two to play well together.

Best you can do is:

-Make sure all sticks are set manually to the same "weakest" speed and timings
-You may have to increase voltage but raising the 1.50 rated set to 1.65 is a bit more than Id go.

Best solution.... sell the two sets individually and buy a 2 x 8GB set.

Understood, but my problem was also that originally i had 2 exact same sticks (came in same package) together in my PC. With both of them in i kept getting crashes, but if i removed one of them there were no crashes.(Tried to put them in different slots aswell). What could cause that?
