Hi,
I've been using my graphics card for almost a year now when it suddenly stopped working. I assumed as I had been playing games that it had overheated, so I waited a couple of hours for it to cool down and plugged it back it and it got to the windows logo (I am running windows 10) and it then whent black. I sent the card back to the supplier where is was tested and they said there was no problems with it so I plugged it back into the top PCI-e slot and still no signal after the windows logo. So I plugged it into the second PCI-e slot and it works now. I was wondering if this can be fixed or should I get a replacement motherboard.

PC specs:
Intel 4790K
Gigabyte G1 Sniper M5
24Gb corsair vengence DDR3
Sapphire R9 390 NITRO

Solution
It cannot be fixed and an RMA would be advised. However, if you are outside your Warranty there is really no harm in continuing to use the second PCI-e slot for your GFX card. There will be no impact to it's performance.
