I have a problem with my current CPU, the AMD FX 6300. The clock speed is 3.5 ghz but when I use it with a maximum processor rate of 100% it goes up to 4.1ghz and overheats my CPU even with an aftermarket heatsink. So I reduce my maximum processor rate to 99% but then the highest speed my CPU would reach is 3ghz. I cannot find a way to find the clock speed and I have not tampered with factory settings. Turbo Core is not enabled in AMD Overdrive.
My motherboard is the Asus M5A78l-M/USB3. My bios version is the most up to date version 2101.
