My system
Processor-Intel core i7 4770k 3.5ghz 4th gen processor
Ram-Kingston HyperX 8gb DDR3 1600 CL10 240 HX316C10FB/8
Motherboard-Intel desktop board dh87mc LGA1150 support
Graphics card-Asus Nvidia geforce gtx 1060 6gb rog strix edition
Harddisk-1tb hardisk
Psu-Coolermaster GX650 650 watt psu

Actually I `m not getting any display on my monitor but the cpu is running well with all the fans spinning,so i just unplugged every power cable, the sata cables and removed the graphics card from the PCI slot and the ram from my dimm 1 slot and after that i inserted everything plugged in the power cables and started to reboot the machine then suddenly i got a burning smell from the ram slot and a little amount of white smoke came out from it so i turned off the machine by long pressing the power button but after i tried to restart the machine again the motherboard is making a beep sound 3 times with a 10 second gap continuously but the cpu fan, processor fan,gfx fans are spinning. So can you please tell me what is the problem did i burned my dimm slot or is there any problem with my motherboard??
Please reply fast
The ram is ok though?
is this ram is compatible with my system?

Solution
Sounds like the RAM was not fully inserted.
Smell and smoke means you did indeed cook something.

Could be the RAM stick, could be the motherboard slot.
