Hello... Your MB PCIe x16 slot is PCIe x16 Gen 2.x... and could be the problem. Sometimes the Newest BIO's version flash will help communication... unless intel decided not to spend time to address this situation. You need update product codes and Dev_id's for newer products, so the BIO's knows what it is and how to use it.

1) Are there any power connections on the Video card that are not connected to your power supply?

No there is no power connection on the card.I have flashed the BIOS but the latest bios for my board that is provided by intel dates to 2012 and thereafter there is no update.

No i don't find any power connection on the video card.
Is there any way to update the PCIe x16 driver or something.
My mother board features intel socket 1055 and most newer mother board that i see feature intel 1050 socket which means if a change my motherboard i'll need to change my processor too.that would be very costly.please suggest.

my cpu is intel i5 2500k. Can you suggesy any motherboard which can be bought as i am not sure which one would be having an updated BIOS and wont create any issue

Hello... you have a "Sandy Bridge" 1155 CPU... and it should be compatible with any of the 1155 70 series chipsets on the Charts I showed... and Yes a BIO's and CPU Compatibility check should be done before B )

I would suggest first looking for possible purchase options, and going to the MB maker/brand site "CPU compatibility" list to verify... but I think this would be your best 'low cost" option to get PCIe 3.0 Bus and modern Video card compatibility. B /

Post your local purchase considerations here, and I will help you to confirm compatibility B )

Thanks for your advice.i had a conversation with the technical advisor of Zotac cards. they say that i require a MB that has a UEFI mode and not Legacy. Can u suggest wether DH77Eb motherboard supports UEFI or not. This is the only 1155 socket available to me.
