Hey guys i just want to ask which processor would worth it for gaming video editing and streaming currently i own now a i3 4170 and gtx 750 ti 2gb so thats the reason why i just wanted to ask you guys which processor would more worth it i7 4790k or i7 7700k? the bad thing is that if i buy the i7 7700k i had then to upgrade the processor and the ram too!

Solution
If your main use for that pc is gaming, I would go for an i5 (for example a 7500 and a cheap supported 1151 motherboard) and a better gpu. This i5 will be an improvement in video rendering comparing your i3.

EDIT: Also, your current pc could be sold or spared as a secondary pc.

Assuming you don't own a z87/97 board for your i3... I'd suggest getting a 4790 non k and save a few bucks since you can't oc on your board anyway. There is a bit of a performance difference between the two but likely not work a new board and new ram , and new CPU cooler just for the 10-12% IPC gains

Just get the i7 4790(k) even if you dont OC the K version still runs 400mhz higher but the non K is still a very good processor. I have the non k i7 4790 myself and its very good, sure the i7 7700k is better but its not worth the upgrade of getting a whole new motherboard, ram etc. :)

Question from TraXon : "i7 4790k or i7 7700k help me"

You did not mention your MB brand and when did you buy it.
And your RAM is on the slow side of modern RAM speeds.

If you get the cash and willingness to spend, I'd grab a new z170 or z270 and a good ddr4 16gb and 7700k. More future proof especially if you don't care that much about your current motherboard.
