is it weird if i hear a noise (kinda sounds like sizzling) when i push the levers down to fasten the cpu? Also is it bad that it took a fair amount of force to push the lever down? Thanks:)

Nothing should ever sound like sizzling when installing the CPU. I'm assuming no power is connected correct?

It takes a lot of force to lock in a CPU, as long as you have the CPU oriented properly you are fine.
