So i had a Pc built for me about 5 or 6 years ago and wanted something kinda future proof and upgradable and i wasnt into a lot of Pc gaming at the time. But as i got older and saw that Pc gaming and doing mods to games is pretty fun i am more into it now. So i was playing one of my fav games Xcom2 and the frames were dipping into the single digits and it seems locked around 25 to 30 FPS while playing and one time it crashed/froze. I also play WOT but that runs great. But i wanted to play The new Mass effect but i think i will need a upgrade. Also kinda want it future proof for a few years

So here are my specs.
i7960 3.2 hz CPU
12gigs of ram
320ssd drive
2tb hdd
my GPU i upgraded last year its a MSI960
My budget is around 400 to 700 for everything i will prolly have it upgraded at the place i had it built. Also i prefer intel CPU as amd seems to sometimes have issues with WOT. I dont think i will be able to reuse my ram either as the newer mobos take DDR4 i believe so recommend that please too.

my suggestion is spend the entire 700 bucks on a i7 7700k oc platform (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FyBM2R) or ryzen 1700x(https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Z9dB7h) platform and buy a gpu later.
both these platforms would beef u up for 3-4 years ;)

I would highly suggest waiting another week to see what the real end user AMD Ryzen CPU's are like. This is a whole new architecture so you might be surprised but I think if you waited this long then another week won't hurt. I am still running Sandy Bridge myself haven't had a need to upgrade yet but that might change soon.
