Hi guys,

I have recently noticed some issues with my PC. My FPS has dropped significantly when playing games and even when i drop the settings it doesnt seem to increase the framerate. For example on GTA i am getting 20-30 FPS on normal settings, Hitman ~20 FPS (i used to get 50+ when I first bought the game).

I have ran a benchmark and it shows my computer underperforming - especially my GPU!

http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/2928666

UserBenchmarks: Game 28%, Desk 39%, Work 27%
CPU: AMD FX-6300 - 49.3%
GPU: AMD R9 380 - 29.5%
HDD: WD Blue 1TB (2012) - 76.8%
RAM: HyperX Fury DDR3 1866 C10 2x4GB - 44.7%
MBD: MSI 970A-G43 (MS-7693)

My question is how to I fix this problem?!

I have also had issues this week with the screen flickering when posting but is then fine once loaded up.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Considering you have issues just posting and are scoring considerably lower than you should on UB compared to others, I'd say it's your GPU dying.

I'm hoping it's not dying, but that could be the case. If we can get some more people to post and gain some more opinions on the subject it would be nice.

Anything can die within a year, it's just how it goes. A car can last 50 years, it could go out in 10. Sometimes it happens.

What temps are you running on when gaming on gpu and cpu? and what model is your psu?

Your cpu is bottelnecking those games and most new games too, but still you should be getting much higher fps.

I used to have a fx-8350 and a 7970 wich is pretty much the same as the 380 and i did get about 50 fps in gta.

But even the 8350 is holding most games back as when i did upgrade to an i7-6700k i did get over 20+ fps in almost all games.

But either your gpu is throttling or its faulty if you still have warranty on it you should replace it.

Download msi afterburner and watch your temperature and gpu usage. also make sure your cpu isn't hitting 100% usage. that would be a bottleneck. make sure your gpu usage is 99%

Thanks for your input guys. I just downloaded the latest drivers to see if it made any difference and this seems to have done the trick and I'm getting around 50-60fps now on GTA. CPU usage went up to 100% at points so looks like it is being bottlenecked.

That's good to hear! I'm glad to see your GPU wasn't dying. It's weird you were even having screen flickering during boot..but good luck with it!
